Look, I’m an unapologetic fan of the Insidious series (and there’s not many modern horror movie franchises I’ll say that about). When torture porn and remakes were all the rage (at least, that’s what my memory tells me, and we all know that it never, ever lies), Insidious was a reprieve and guilty pleasure. Its sequel was a surprise genre-blender that helps make the two films classics on my list. The third and fourth movies may not have been as good story-wise (the prequel tangent both movies went with was weird given the obvious tease at the end of 2) but I really enjoyed them. Don’t hate.
So when I just found the trailer for the fifth film dropped, I fanboyed out for a moment. Or three. Can’t wait to see this in July.
